teach me about wheels for a FJ45....

Post by gingerbreadman »

on my 79 ute i will be buying new tyres and wheels very soon. with the way the dollar is im thinking ill just buy direct from usa . I have no idea what backspacing and sizing options there are with these trucks and if i go to a disc brake conversion that could give me headaches as well. What wheels are you running and pics of possible please, how much? where from? and any other info would be appreciated. Im looking for something tuff even though i will be doing the occassional highway drive .
here is a couple of pics for an example.. cragars chrome soft 8 and some cragar chrome 6ers ..both are around $240,US for the set of 4 and i have shipping contacts so thats alot cheaper then buying local ..alot.

you need 6 stud and the correct PCD, that is the only requirement, depending on what size tyres you're going to be running. Perhaps you should try having a bit of a search on here..

I'd recommend at a minimum a -12 offset on an 8" wide rim.

My current rims are some whack brand, 15x8, -25.
