Re: gauges! do i need them?
Personally i think that a boost and pyro (pyro and EGT are the same thing) are nessasary for a turbo conversion. Being able to monitor your boost and EGT will help avoid major damage if something goes majorly wrong, and are very helpful in diagnosing any problems that may come up.

Re: gauges! do i need them?
You need gauges if you're going to be running a tune hot enough that it needs monitored. You can set up a conservative tune with low enough EGT's that the worst case will still be okay.
Re: gauges! do i need them?
You need a boost & pyro gauge if you want to start playing with boost & fuel.

Re: gauges! do i need them?
IMO they are a must.
a good quality a/m temp gauge is a must on any fourby, as lots of dash gauges are quite inaccurate.
and once u start playing around with turbo conversions, boost/fuel upgrades etc then a pyro is another must.
i like to know whats happening in my noise maker so i have boost/oil press/water temp/volts/pyro.
