Pitman arms
I have a Older surf ifs ps box here, and it has a tierod on the pitman arm.
What do people do to get around this?
Are the splines same to another toyo ps box so i can use a tierod on the draglink instead of on the pitman arm?
(i also have a 60' psbox, but the arm looks weak and drops too much)

Spline is the same as 60 series for sure, I have fitted a 60 pitman to mine.

The 60 pitman is no more heavy duty than the Surf unit.
I have a locktup pitman on at the moment (its shorter than the 60 but with the same drop and heavier) which does fit the steering box but not the 60 series drag link as they promised me it would over the phone
It has a taper one size down on the 60 series taper and I had to fit a taper adaptor to get it yet another size down so I could use a 40 series tie rod. Not real happy about needing to downsize my tie rod taper.
That first link of yours looks great if the taper is the right size.

So the arm you have has a ball joint in there? You want an arm with a tapered hole to accept the joint that is threaded into the drag link rod?
Most of the Toyota arms are the same spline with the exception of the 100 series.
80 has the least drop apparently, then 70, then 60. The aftermarket stuff is mostly designed to suit the shorter length of the highsteer arms, so the pitman is made shorter to suit.
The Bundera arm has about the same drop as the 70, but is slightly shorter.
The locktup arm is designed to accept 80 joints.
An arm from a Daihatsu Rocky can be modified to suit and has smaller drop than the Toyota ones.
2WD Hilux arms can be made work too.
On a Hilux axle you should be able to use 70 king pin arms, tie rod, joints and a modified 70 drag link to suit the zuk chassis width.. Use a 70 pitman arm on your IFS box.

Our pitman arm will suit the drag links we do for the 60 high steer, but not an OEM 60 series drag link. Maybe that is where the confusion lies.

My front dif is a lux, with bundera rear arms and a flipped lux top arm. Same as bundy, but thicker.
I was planing to use fj80 joints, buy the m23 $200 taps and make my own arms. No welding.
That lowrange site is good. Im already buying stuff from there, so if its worth it, i wil get them to put more goodies in my box! $26 for a fj80 rod end.. Then i have to work out what tapers i have..

I use a power steer 2wd one and I'm sure I use 80 ball joints on the drag link.
