General HJ45 info??

Post by a1 mech »

Howdy

father in law owns a 1977 HJ45 longwheelbase cruiser, has genuine H motor with original 155000km, it has been a farm truck its whole life and used for the occassional trip to town, tip or abattoirs. It runs absoultely perfectly albeit VERY firm in the suspension department lol.

It has been garaged and serviced religiously for the last 25 years or so and has very minimal surface body rust, nothing structural.

We are contimplating doing a complete overhaul on it and getting it up to original condition with a few modern additions.

Q is what would this truck roughly be worth in its current state, I understand they are possibly some what of a collectors item???

Thanks for any info.

$3500 ish, maybe up past 4 grand if it's really good. The H motor is not as desirable as the later 2H.

yea i would say about that, depending on rust, but you are in Gold Coast so if you were willing to wait you could get top dollar for it, they seem to pretty rare here in brizzy, can't imagine it would be much better in GC,

Yer not interested in selling it, just wanting to know roughly wat its worth as is. Will most likely do it up one day. 1HD-FTE mite even be on the cards.
