QLD ROPS Winch Truck Challenge (WTC) Round 1

G'day all, Time is fast approaching us for Round 1 of the WTC series for 2011. The new rule set has now been released and our new website should be up and running in the near future as well.

Round 1 will be conducted at Fire Creek road, Raglan. Same place as 2010.

Feb 12-13 with competition briefing and welcome bbq on friday night the 11th.
A max of 30 noms will be accepted on a first in first served basis.
There are no reserved spots.

Entry is $300 per team as set out in the rules.
Noms will open on the 4th of January 2011.

Make sure you have all your compulsory equipment including neck braces.

If anyone is interested in competing for the first time or being an official then don't be shy and express your interest on here.

Note - Wider drums are now allowed in modified class.

BMS racing (bum most skyward) hard at panel beating shorty for round 1 and should be there for all 4 rounds if we can keep it on its wheels, if not will be to happy to help out on the officaling side, ether way cant wait for feb to get some racing action happening

Give me a yell if you need a hand at raglan it clean up or set tracks and i will try to get up to help

'Looking for to it' is somewhat of an undrstatement however! Stinging, would be more accurate.

I just checked the website to check nominatios details, wil that be redy to go by 4th Jan or is there a number to call up the secure our place in the event?

The new website should be up by around the 22nd of Dec with the new rule set and all related forms on it. Send a pm if you haven't got the 2011 rules yet.

Been for a quick drive around what we are hoping is going to be round 3, and it looks good. Creek runs, long open sections, heavy timber sections, step banks, nasty feeder creeks, and rocks scatered everywhere.

Mosko, the property is about 30 min out of Mackay. We have no pics yet as we only been for a quick look around. The few days before we turned up they had about 400mm, and another 270 the day before, so we couldn't get across the main creek to have a close look at it all, but we will doing a rec trip after xmas sometime.

With all the rain we've had, the property looks to hold together fairly well, though we have had a lot of "pre wet" rain so far. For when we are looking to run round 3, it will be perfect.

Oh, and the camping area is real nice to, right on the river.

Hey all, at this stage we are still work towards round 1 at Raglan. Once the water clears out, the forcasts are for half decent wheather.

Noms open today for round 1, and will close Jan 28th. As the wet wheather has slowd progress on the new web site, anyone that needs nom forms can either send a PM here with your email, or email Brad at bradduke@bigpond.com . We are only taking 30 noms, so get in quick.
Any updates for round 1 will be made both on this thread and on our web site, so keep an eye out.

Hope prep is going well for everyone.
