I've heard a vicious rumor that the TD 80's had a bigger diameter filter?? is this true? If so would it offer better/similar flow than my K&N (the k&n is only 17 cm across, a std 4.5 filter is 22cm across)
thanks guys

Re: 80 series Airfilter size
Do the 100's and 80's run the same size filter? it's definitely true for the 100 series, the turbo diesel filter offers about 25% more surface area and fits straight into the standard airbox.
This is the difference between the 1FZ/1HZ and TD filters for the 100 series.
The difference in dimension is:
1Hz Filter: 220mm Diameter
Turbo Filter 255mm Diameter
Height of both filters is the same at 145mm

Re: 80 series Airfilter size
the 100 filters wont fit as they have a solid bottom in them, u can cut the bottom out of them and they will fit (sorta)tas80 wrote:Do the 100's and 80's run the same size filter? it's definitely true for the 100 series, the turbo diesel filter offers about 25% more surface area and fits straight into the standard airbox.

Cranky, 3f 1hz 1hdt and 1fz use the same filter, dont know about the 24valve td though, but probably still the same.
