80 series Airfilter size

Post by crankycruiser »

I've heard a vicious rumor that the TD 80's had a bigger diameter filter?? is this true? If so would it offer better/similar flow than my K&N (the k&n is only 17 cm across, a std 4.5 filter is 22cm across)

thanks guys :finger:

Do the 100's and 80's run the same size filter? it's definitely true for the 100 series, the turbo diesel filter offers about 25% more surface area and fits straight into the standard airbox.

Image
This is the difference between the 1FZ/1HZ and TD filters for the 100 series.

The difference in dimension is:
1Hz Filter: 220mm Diameter
Turbo Filter 255mm Diameter
Height of both filters is the same at 145mm

the 100 filters wont fit as they have a solid bottom in them, u can cut the bottom out of them and they will fit (sorta)
