Stud pattern on hilux same as cruiser?

Post by rowenb »

Just making sure that hilux wheels would fit a landcruiser stud pattern. I know a mate grabbed his old mans 16 inch rims to try on his lux but need to make sure 33's on sunrasias off a 4runner would fit an 80 series.

The 6 stud pattern is the same. Backspacing might make things difficult (I.e. You won't get an 80s gxl 16" on a hilux axle - it'll foul on the tie rod end)

I thought it was the other way around... ie you can't get a hilux wheel on an 80 front.... it certainly won't fit on a 60 front because of tierod end as you say.. I've tried and failed AFTER I bought the wheels. :?

Most 4 runners were IFS weren't they? Or was that only the 90 models?

They'll fit but if they are off a solid front hilux they may stick out a bit further than the standard rims. From memory 80's have a 0 offset can't remember what the 60 was

Brought and fitted the wheels and tyres off the 4runner and clears the steering knuckles by an inch n a bit on the 80. Sunnies and 33 wranglers, bloody noisy after the all terrain i was running!

86 was the crossover year from solid to IFS IIRC.
