My new project is going to need a divorced transfer case and the only ones I can find that would be available in Australia are (I think) MK units.
Could anyone tell me how much torque they can handle and what I would expect to pay for one?

I think the 720 Nisans also had a divorced transfer case.

I don’t know, the transfer case in my Nissan has never given me problems, touch wood, but I had a 308 and now the 1uzfe v8 hooked up and it has handled that ok.

A nissan patrol transfer case can be divorced fairly easily. A land rover case can also be divorced. As can most cases how much work is involved with doing so you'll need to work out though.
Anything is possible, it just comes down to time and money.

There are quite a few 4wd drive trucks with divorced transfer cases and arent physically to big to fit in a normal 4wd. Try a truck wrecker. Chances are if its in a truck it will be pretty solid.

as aferal said, a GQ/GU case would be very easy to adapt. it has a sealed female input shaft that would lend itself to having a press fit spline inserted into it and then a spline to suit a front or rear patrol tailshaft flange on the other end.
