Re: decent shocks
yeah thats why i love the adjustables, soften up when headin off road, takes 2 seconds, thinkin i will stick with the dogs
Re: decent shocks
It is still going to be a couple of months away but a thought for the future is we are heavily involved with AMADAXTREME and the shocks we are working with them for the patrol should be great, we have a container of these coming over in the next month or so ( pretty much all vehicles except nissan for the moment because they dont have patrols in thailand)
The nissan patrol shocks we are still doing the development with them but i am due to go back to thailand next month and hurry them up.
They are a remote res shock , fully rebuilable, chrome finish with anodised res. NON adjustable at this point but we may incorporate an adjuster in them at a later date.
I am pretty confident i can have them on the australian market for $250 -$275 each and that shits all over the current market is aus for that price bracket.
to get an idea of the shocks you can have a look at some pics here.

We have just starting getting the AMADAXTREME race trucks together for 2011 and this should give the general public and 4wd industry an idea of what they are like .
These AMADAXTREME shocks have won numerous 4wd races over the last 10 years so they are not a new shock on the market, they just have not been marketed in aus until now.

Re: decent shocks
hi thanks for that, these do look quite good and for the price cant really go wrong, only downside is there not adjustable and I take they are a gas shock. all gas shocks i have seen that aren't adjustable are extremely rough, if they do bring these out adjustables i dare say there will be quite a demand for them. will they be makin these for a 7inch lift??
Re: decent shocks
you would be able to buy a set of bolt in fox shocks for under 2k

Re: decent shocks
I do not know anyone making a top quality foam cell shock. Valving is independant on whether gas or foam is used. Take Procomp for example, gas shock that is valved soft.RIZZO wrote:hi thanks for that, these do look quite good and for the price cant really go wrong, only downside is there not adjustable and I take they are a gas shock. all gas shocks i have seen that aren't adjustable are extremely rough, if they do bring these out adjustables i dare say there will be quite a demand for them. will they be makin these for a 7inch lift??
Whether it is foam or gas, it is a constant battle to get the most comfortale yet controlled ride that will suit most people. There are so many variables.

Re: decent shocks
yeah very true, i am happy with tough dogs , adjustments are good just dont have any luck with there leaking, i had dust covers on these ones and has extended the life abit,
Re: decent shocks
yeah mate, 2000 for a set of shocks is abit of a overkill i think, i know there a good shock and all but not willing to spend that much, flexytj wrote:you would be able to buy a set of bolt in fox shocks for under 2k

Re: decent shocks
We have just put our first order in for a container of them today that suits nearly all the vehicles in aus Except the Patrols and a couple of others, I am going over to Thailand in the next couple of weeks to sort out the nissan shocks.
The nissan shocks will be valved about the same as number 6 setting on tough dogs, this seems to be a very popular feel for nissan owners, from there we can valve them harder or softer to suit the application
I have a lot of our reputation riding on these so i am confident they will be even more popular then the SRC's and they will certainly be a better choice for most guys here in Aus.
The previous post mentioned about gas shocks being hard, that is just the valving of the shock not the gas itself.
I have SRC-S series shocks on my prado and it is extremely plush to ride in and they are running 15 bar of pressure.
