what width wheels for bead locks

Ok ive brought a set of weld on external bead locks. i have 2 sets of rims one set 10 inch wide and one set 8inch i never plan on running anything under 13" wide rubber witch rims should i fit locks to? im gessing ill end up with either 9 inch or 11 inch wide rims.

I run a set of 37"x13" on 8 inch rims that have no beadlocks.

Are you planning on bead locking both sides of the rim ? It can make a big difference.

What do you use the tyres/rims for ?


These and no doubt more things need to be taken into account before you make a decision.

Not much help I know but it might give you something to think about. ;)

The 8s will give you better bead retention on the inside bead.

only bead locking the outer. use the car for winch comps, ls1 powerd gq ute.
