hey guys, doing a head gasket on a hilux with a 4y, i have a 3y head sitting round spare and i was wondering if there was any gains in fitting a 3y head to a 4y block?

Pretty sure the heads are identical on the 3Y & 4Y.. Could be wrong but I'm 99% sure they are the same head!

stick with the 4y head as they have bigger valves and better flow. if from memory you can do it but the head gaskets are different,.

i wouldn't do it cos you are going backwards with valve sizing and flow.
