Hi i was wondering what people have done with the leaking power steering pump off a 60 series is there any other model of aftermarket pump that will slot straight in for reasonably cheap or is there a mob that makes a replacement with a bracket, as my pump is basically worn out and will need alot of fixing. and i am not that good at fabricating so it needs to be relatively simple
Thanks Shane Mulcahy

Re: changing 60 series power steering pump
I heard a cressida and/or crown pump was similar and could be used, but never looked into it. I did my old 60's steering once, but happened to luck out and buy a box & pump off outers.
It shouldn't be too hard to pick up a landcruiser pump. Just ring around the country if you're after a better price. Shouldn't set you back much more than 200 bucks these days. Also keep an eye out, as you might pick up a second 60 for parts, for less than 1000. Some pop up occasionally full of rust but mechanically good.

The worst part about being told you have Alzheimer's, is that it doesn't just happen once.

What motor? 2F/3F petrol power steering pumps aren't that expensive reconditioned off the shelf on exhange. Don't know about the diesel ones. Ring Fulcrum/Pedders/Repco/etc.

im pretty sure a holden v6 pump bolts straight in with a small spacer but needs the pulley changed you would have too run a remove reservoir aswell
