coil heights
i posted a question in the nissan section but i doubt it will ever get answered. so i might just ask the smart people here for direction.
does anyone know the difference in height between a std GQ front coil and a std 80 series front coil?
im not happy with the lift i have in my FJ at the moment. i feel its way too high for what i need. i would like to lower it around 3 inches, by using a 5 link front, A-frame rear and some coils from either a GQ or an 80.
just focusing on the front for now.
could some one please measure the length of thier front coil for me and say what lift spring it is? it doesnt really matter what lift it is, as i can work it out from there.
thanks for your time.

If you can not get there in a 4wd its not worth looking at

There is prob 10-15 different factory coils available. Nissans and cruisers have basicaly 2 different springs from factory. Petrol or deisel thats it.
may be so but if you ever have to touch them with your bare hands youll never get the smell of rover shit off your hands
Ill measure them any way prob in the morning as im still at work trying to get some over time cash to waste on the POS in shed . Darren

tony do rover springs fit into nissan mounts?
i may be getting GQ mounts thats why i wanted to know the heights/difference between nissan/toyota springs etc.
thanks for that daz. gives me some idea what im looking at now.

Im pretty sure they do but why not use Rover Mounts. They bolt on and can be easily spaced if you want a little more height.
