wiring standard gu tb45 temp gauge to td42

hi,
i have just done an engine conversion on my gu from a tb45 to a td42 and want to run the standard temp gauge. i have read wiring diagrams and info from a work shop manual and it doesn't give me enough info to wire it to the temp gauge to the motor.
in the picture below i have circled the temp gauge on the back of the dash. i have worked out which wires i need to use but i don't know where to connect the cos+ and the sin+ wires.
does cos+ stand for constant power and does sin+ stand for signal or do they have a totally different meaning and where do i connect them to?
also on the td42 it has two temp sensors. one is a two wire sensor and the other is a single wire sensor. why does it have two sensors? do i need to have them both wired to the temp gauge to make it work correctly?
and info would be great.
thanks, lozz
