Gearbox rebuild

Post by bagginsoftheshire »

I have a 89 4runner and want to rebuild my transfer case and gearbox.

Just after any one who has done this to get an idea of good and bad kits out there and anything to look out for.

It has a g52 gearbox and auto locking hubs, which i want to get rid of.

Will the tranfer case from a manual locking hubs 4runner bolt straight on. if so what is the transfer model i am looking for?

I also have a gear driven transfer case how hard would this be to mate to a g52? I did search this but found some of the posts a little confussing to be honest so just after a straight answer.

Thanks for the help again.
