SOA in SA
Hey all I'm considering doing the SOA conversion on my mq , but i cant find any info on the legalities of doing it in SA. Any croweaters done it ? Does it need an engineering cert. ? does it have to pass a regenvy inspection ?
While i'm at it, the diff is cast iron right ? or are the axle tubes steel ? can the spring perches be migged on, or do they have to be stick welded with special rods ? cheers.

Location: in the sky , its a bird , its a plane ! No its super MOOSE !!!
If you Email Transport SA they will forward the question onto Regency Park who will then tell you it's illegal..... and give you a list of approved engineers who may be able to help.
Then, if the engineer will approve it, you have to pay to have the vehicle inspected at Regency and Transport SA may approve it...
(That was the response I got after trying to get 36mm larger tyres approved.)

has this been approved by an engineer?
If it has been and I seriously doubt it, then I would love to meet the Fwit that engineered it !
Migs and cast iron dont play well together
