Who here has opinions on helper airbag setups for leaf sprung vehicles, particularly ute?
Im looking at buying a setup for the rear of my dmax to help when loaded, but still retain comfort when theres no load on the ute with leaves that arent as stiff as fock.
Seems Firestone are one of the more expensive setups, compared to Polyair and Boss is real cheap. Whats the difference, are they worth the extra $?

the ones we have in our ford rtv ute are from the air bag man and have remote fill points so we can inflate or deflate the air bag pressure when we don't have the load

I'm an agent for Firestone and Boss. I sell crap loads more Boss gear than Firestone, mainly due to cost. I've had more warranty issues with Firestone gear than Boss gear funnily enough. PolyAir have plastic air line fittings which tend to snap off, whereas Boss and Firestone use metal fittings.
Both kits have the same specs and the same application, inflation and deflation valves. The main differences are the overall finish of the kits. The firestone kits are much more refined. The welds are nicer, the coating is nicer, everyhting is just better finished. The Boss gear is functional, practical and more than does the job it's designed to do, this is why most people buy this kit.
The inflation points are regular schrader tyre valves, and they can be mounted wherever you like and inflated with any compressor capable of inflating a tyre.
You've hit the nail on the head in terms of the airbags intended purpose. Much more versatile than heavy duty spring packs.
The Bags are rated to carry 1.5T each. So more than enough for the average heavy loads applied when towing or carting a load of firewood.

filling up via the sharaida valves gets old very quick get your self an onboard air compressor and one of these makes life real easy

Dank it sounds like your in the know then, what kind of warranty issues are with the Firestone bags you mentioned?
Do they just use the pushlok fittings for the airlines?
Yeh im hoping with the new leaf pack, bilsteins and the airbags its should be a good compromise of comfort and load carrying, loaded and unloaded.
Just out of interest, what price do you sell the kits for each, to compare with the company im dealing with atm. PM me if needed.

Issues with firestone have been the bags leaking near the crimp mount. Manufacturing?? Have had a couple start leaking. Have been replaced under warranty and no further issues but still not ideal.
Boss and Firestone both use push to fit air line fittings. pm sent
