pipe benders
hi guys just wondering what you guys use as far as pipe benders go? i worked in a 4x4 shop and we used the opw ones you see in the front of mags but i was wondering if anyone on here had anything to say about the bottle jack ones you see on ebay also you can get the bottle jack ones that you can put an air line into? what do you guys use? do the cheeper ones kink the tube? i dont minde if it takes a bit longer than the profesional ones but i dont want to bye one then end up wasting more tube than the thing was worth! also i am based in sydney so if there are any good shops that you guys know of in sydney that sell this sort of stuf that would be great cheers.
Re: pipe benders
if you are going to use it a bit buy the JD2 bender straight up. it will save time and tube. some have had some sucess with the bow and arrow style(bottle jack type) but not as neat as the JD benders

Re: pipe benders
hey mate i bought the bottle jack type bender with air over pump on it. and i made all my tube guards up for my 45 ute. and done a few rollcage's. theres nothing wrong with em. and for $320 with 6 dies. i couldnt see the point in spending big money when u get close enough to same finish.
heres a link to where i was bending it all up

Re: pipe benders
i have the jd2 model 32 pricey but well worth it .the cheap benders are ok till you want to bend thin wall tube or if you want to bend 180 deg shock hoops depends on your application and how much you will use it .fabrication is my job so it made sense to me to spend the extra coin and get something that can do alot of sizes heaps of dies available.
