V6 to V8 hilux

hay guys, i have a VP v6 in my Ln106 at the moment with a auto

im looking at trying to swap it out for a 5.0 v8

can any one tell me what will need to be changed, will the V6 harness work on the v8

Are you seriously asking if a std V6 engine harness will plug in on a V8 ???

If you are, might consider shelving the conversion plans now.
91' Hilux Surf with the usual mods & a few different ones ....

myb mad on the wording, i ment will i be able to just swap the looms over as the V6 is now spliced in with the std hilux one. so will i just be able to disconnect the v6 one and slap the v8 one in,

Don't know which 5.0 you want to use, but I will go out on a limb here and say ....... NO.

Holden 5.0 out of a VN -VR as the v6 in it now is out of VN - VR

If the engine loom itself is spliced in then no but if the vp body loom is spliced in and the engine and computer loom might plug in but don't forget you got engine mounts and bell housing which may not fit either
