Make sure its as roadworthy as possible before you go for your inspection.
No extended shackles.
No tyres bigger than 31inch.
No rims wider than 8inches wide.
Apart from that, make sure it will pass, all lights are working properly, no holes in exhaust, all wiring tidy, etc.
Theres a good engineer in Cardiff, but hes booked up for a month or 2 ahead.

Yeah Athol Mullen is the engineer to go to.
I got him to engineer my turbo, lift and everything in my LC.

Thats who I was talking about.
Very nice guy, knows his shit too.
Hes pretty busy at the moment, I think I heard it was about 4-6weeks to get in to see him.
But you can give him a call and have a chat, he will tell you what needs to be done to get that pretty little certificate.

I got my v8 conversion done there, good bloke.
he is pretty much always book out about a couple months.
He more so checks what is modified, not the normal stuff, so make sure everything that is modified (mounts, wiring, engine etc) is all very tidy and well sorted.
No bent mounts or brackets, all pollution gear from the v6 is factory and hooked up, if its an older one, might need an unleaded sticker on the fuel filler.
factory emissions stuff, ecu, etc. (for the v6)
mudflaps, 300mm from ground, and covers all of back tyre width.
factory length shackles.
might need a exhaust noise test, might not, i had one for mine, but its also quite loud.
fan shroud in place and covering fan.
I'm sure there is more, but you get the idea.
best of luck with it
