lights go out when turn on high beam

hi 1991 tb42efi when i turn my high beam on the headlights go out,there are spotlights on the car ,would this be the headlight switch any help thanks darren

Could be high beam side of relay?

Maybe the contacts in the headlight switch are worn or dirty. If you turn the lights on you should hear a click of the relay. Blue relay in drivers side kick panel. Rarely have dramas would look at the contacts in the stalk
