coil spacers on 105 series

Post by tough105 »

Hi. I was talking to a mate of mine who works as a tyre fitter and he was saying the new laws coming into effect in qld will mean that tyre size can be increased by 50mm instead of 15mm BUT the limit for a lift on a 4wd will be 50mm including suspension/tyres/bodylift ect. My cruiser is in need of new suspension soon as the standard toyota stuff is no good anymore. The majority of kits for the cruisers are either a 50mm lift or standard height. I dont want the 50mm as it will leave no room to legally go to 285 tyres which I want for my next set. I am thinking of going with standard height springs and then adding 25-30mm spacers just to help gain a little clearence. Would this be a good idea or not? I dont need any extra flex as I only use the car for beach fishing trips and dirt roads ect.
