i have a 89 mav and after about 5 mins of driving all 4 brakes start sticking untill i cant drive any more. if i pull a hose off the booster and let the suction off the brakes free up and i can drive again.
does anyone know how to fix this or why this would happen

Re: brake booster problems
If you have had the booster apart recently, my guess is you have installed the one way vacuum valve backwards (manifold-boodter or vacpump-booster line)

Re: brake booster problems
i just boght the mav and its got a new master cylinder on it so he may of had the booster apart aswell. the bloke i bought it off never got it on the road so he probly never tested it properly
Re: brake booster problems
Master cylinder may also be the wrong size..... though this doesn't explain why they are staying on....

Re: brake booster problems
Actuator rod is a few mm to long, causes the MC to retail some pressure. remove the MC and adjust the adtuator rod till it relases all the way with the vacume booster charged.
