My question....
Is this item genuine?
This is the response...
Hi,Our air locker is our own brand, but the quality is the same with ARB just the packing is different, because we are the ARB's parts manufacturer in China, such as air locker case and gear. But our price is competitive than ARB
Is this true? Are some of the ARB airlocker bits manufactured in china?
My last reply...
No where in your discription does it say that its NOT a genuine ARB brand. And it is NOT of the same qaulity. You should add these or change your add before you get in trouble.
ps. I think he has altered the add a bit.

I would not want to try being the one that gets that guy's feedback up from zero to one.
This is not legal advice.
Re: Your thoughts?
plus one on the lack of any other sales under that account.
Also shipping is $233

Re: Your thoughts?
It looks genuine. He's got the part numbers right too. Also comes with an air compressor in the sale. It'd be a bargain IF it's real. But like you have all said, no feedback's a little worrying
So which entrepreneurial bastard's gonna become the Aussie distributor?

Re: Your thoughts?
Ive herad and known about the chinese copies for ages. But, I really wanted to know if what he was saying was true about any part of the arb airlockers coming from china at all.
For the extra $300 difference, why would you bother.

Re: Your thoughts?
At a quick glance they all appear to be the old school 3 piece lockers not the new 2 peice timed system with the locking gear that broaches when you stare at it too hard. Wonder if ARB sold or lost that design patten and that is why they push so hard on the new timed lockers.
Wayne
Edit: seems they do have the 169 and a few others listed that should be the timed style

Re: Your thoughts?
If you have a look on http://www.alibaba.com you'll find these lockers on there from manufacturers in China for $440 each plus delivery. You can get better feed back on the sellers from there as well.

Re: Your thoughts?
I use to work for arb and did factory tour 3 years ago.
They were manufacturing all parts there then. So unless someone heard of a few layoffs I'd say they are still made here. Plus they had just bought a 5-axis twin tabled Cnc that had a tslot table that held 4 different jobs at once. Lotta money to outlay to make it worthwhile to have moved processing to china.
Just my 2 cents
