how many km is to many have been looking at a couple around the 250km mark both on gas one is carby one is efi
Re: tb42 &tb42e
Engine itself is good for heaps of km's. People seem to do heads every now and then. But that probably comes back to more a maintenance of the cooling system issue than the actual engine.
The EFI engine holds a tune. The carbys need electronic ignitions installed.
But I think you would struggle to find many with less than 250,000km's. As even the newest is a 97 model. So thats only 17,900km per year.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....
Re: tb42 &tb42e
I agree, most would have more than 250,000Km. But provided they have been treated right, I think that is not too many Kms.
My carby version doesn't have electronic ignition, it goes fine. Just needs the points done every so often. Yeah, that can be a bit of a pain, but they are cheap and easy enough to do. It has 245,000Km on clock and doesn't blow smoke, and still has heaps of compression.
