Feroza safety recall?!?

Post by ezzamate »

Ok so i have a '94 feroza and they only just figured out that my model car needs a recall? 16 years later?
something about a fuel evaporative emission check valve developing a crack and possibly filling the cabin with fuel vapour and incinerating me...

"Awesome work" would be them not saying a thing because they've shut up shop in Australia and washing their hands of it.

Go and see your nearest toyota and ask if yours is affected by the issue and stop being a sook.

This x100 & they only have an obligation after 10 years. Consider yourself lucky.

I dont see recalls as being bad things, the motor car is made up of a vast number of components from numerous manufacturers. They cant all get it 100% right 100% of the time. If it is a safety issue it is far better for them to recall it than for you to find out when you get to your holiday destination to find your sleeping kids are actually dead from the fumes they have been inhaling (an actual true event with a van in NSW).
Don't ask me, ask them. I'm just runnin for my life myself.
Well they are all following you...
No they ain't, I'm just in front...............

The fume problem is from the fuel tank breather etc and is not exactly lethal.
In saying that the fumes are not safe either, but far better than the exhaust fume leak you were talking about (carbon monoxide is very nasty and completely colourless, odourless and deadly).

I got my recall notice 3 years (or more) ago and 1 year after i purchased the F300 Fez. The FECV is located behind the inner rear panel on the right side. Easy fix- takes about 20mins.
