Gday, ive got a 5.0l v8 out of a vp calais, and ill be trying to get it to run in my 84 hilux. What i would like to know is what is the bare minimumi needed to wire up for this engine to run? the wiring removed from the donor vehicle has a BCM, can someone help?

Put a carby on it. That way you only need to wire the starter motor and alternator. Works for me.
Will work for beer!!

i have all the wiring diagram for it all you need is the loom i have used the vn loom and ecu to a vs 5.0 and it only took me an hour to wire up as i have found a text document and it tells you were to put the wire to if you still need it i'll email it to you

Hey Bundy4x4 can I get a copy of the wiring diagram. I'm putting a 5.0 in a rangie

can you give me your email and I'll email it to you and I'll give you the digram i used as the fuse are in the wrong place but you can work it out when i send it to you just need to compare the text with the digram
