Maps & Books
Hi
I have heard about a few books with trips and tracks for 4wds that grade them from easy to hard.
After searching around I came up with these 2.
Does anyone own these and are they any good?

God of Magnificant Ideas!
A little off topic but ....
I have been using this one of late and find it pretty good..... I found it after the "travelmate" site went offline for a few days .
http://services.land.vic.gov.au/landcha ... ractivemap
Fairly good detail from an "online" site although a tad slow ( dial up ) but for the "finer"details I was impressed.

I forgot to add ....
on the above link, Just below the "search" button ( upper left cnr)
there are 5 choices of the map type.....
for good detail use the "Lot On Plan" button
on the actual map you can select an area by holding the right click down and then draging the pointer to whereever, this creates a square that is automatically enlarged..... just keep repeating the process !!!
I actually "found" my own home lot from this and it even showed the creek which isnt on "normal" maps.
couple of examples below.....
The one of "Kinglake" I was acutally able to get down to the individual lots !

I have just ordered that from the online Collins Book store

That Landchannel site is awesome, found my house.
But does not help with tracks and what they are like.
If anyone wants 4 treks close to Melb etc and misc books go to my website:
