Hi guys, I have been following the forum for a while now, and the time has come to start posting questions!
Okay first off I am building up an 84 dual cab lux in between school and work. I brought it for $500 in running order, no rust and a straight body. Atm I am aiming to get the body in undercoat this weekend and soon have it painted. (Doing it all myself)
I have plans to run ifs rear springs, and a rug. To do this I know I need a high steer, but can I just buy high steer arms and use my existing tie rods ect. Or will I need to buy a full kit? I also plan to setup power steering, will this effect my choices?
Next question, I was going to buy a 2" body lift, but will 33" tyres fit with the springs and extended shackles? Or should I buy the body lift? I was planning on running stock hight springs.
Thankyou everyone for your help.

Secondly, If you type in RUF and IFS rears into the search bar, your questions will be answered.
However, I was wondering what this RUG mod is I will give you answers to the best of my knowledge.
You dont need to run Hi-steer with rears up front(RUF), you could run cross-over steering instead, or you should be able to get away with an adjustable dropped draglink.
If you are planning to run power steering, then either crossover or Histeer will be the way.
You have an 84 dual cab, I have an 86, which is the same model, I have a 2inch BL, and before I fitted my IFS rears, I was running 35s, but they would hit on the back of the guards under flex.

Re: hilux questions
aa mentioned cross over or hi steer.... u will need the whole kit though not just the arms. You will not need a body lift with that spring setup... with ruf ur diff will more forward around 3" which will give u enough clearance from the firewall to run larger tyres
