Just curious as to what other turbo TB45 owners are seeing in Exhaust Gas Temperatures?
I have done a lot of searching and can find a heap of info on what exhaust temp a diesel will be safe with, but not much to do with a petrol engine.
My car is running 8 - 10 pounds with a front mount cooler, full 3 inch exhaust and an after market ecu. The car runs straight petrol.
My concern is when cruising on the highway at 1800-2000 rpm the temp is sitting on 1200 degrees F, but climb to 1400 degrees F without a lot of load at all.
The highest I see on full boost under high acceleration is 1400, so expected cruise temps to be lower.
My question is are these temps to high in general, to high are cruise speeds...?
Any help / guidance would be greatly appreciated.

EGT Temp on a Turbo TB45
Re: EGT Temp on a Turbo TB45
G'day,
1400 deg F is definitely on the high side if the probe is mounted post-turbo. Not out of the ordinary if pre-turbo.
Have you got a wideband - what are your AFRs like at cruise/under load? Been dyno tuned? Haven't plugged in my EGT gauge yet but when I do I'll report back.
Cheers
