hey guys im asking this question for a mate, ive searched the forum and couldn't really find any decent info on putting a 2.4td into an 83 hilux with the 3y engine. we understand it will be a bit of mucking around but he has come across the engine/gearbox etc for really cheap and is keen to do this swap, he is just wondering what the main things he will encounter are going to be,does he need diesel diffs? running gear etc... just touching base still abit of research to do...any advice from someone with knowledge of this swap would be great.....thanks heaps tap..
