Rust penetrant/ removing injectors

Post by Madmac »

Trying to get the injectors out of a 3 cylinder yanmar TNE genset motor, its had water dripping on top of it and they are rusted in solid, ive tried an injector puller (slide hammer type), no go, question is, whats the best brand of rust penetrant to soak them in? and would it be safe to warm the head up a bit around the injectors with a butane torch, i dont want to risk cracking or warping head. Open to any other suggestions on how to get them out. Im in no great hurry so if need be i can keep spraying penetrant on the for a few days before attempting to pull them again.

Chemsearch yield and you don't need much. About $300 for a box. A little does go along way.

Also another good one is bolt off.
