oil change

hi
anyone around brisbane changing the oil of his patrol the next days where i could join?
...i chnaged the oil of a car before and also watched some tutorials
but dont wanna make anything wrong with my new baby, but also wanna save the money i would pay in a garage...
and are there some nogo oils or mustdo oils i should (n't) use?

Mate its the same as a car ie drain oil, replace filter or filters, make sure sump plug has been nipped up and then fill with oil....
What engine ??

bought shell helix hx 5 diesel now...
if i also change the filter how mush oil should i out in?
the manuel says there fit 9 liters in if you also change teh filter

My 4.2 TD took 2 filters and pretty much a full 10 litres for an oil change.

I dont get 2 services out of a 20ltr drum
changing both filters i reckon it takes 10 1/2 litres td42 silver top

With that 4.2 there are a couple of different filter numbers that may be applicable. Make sure you get the right ones.
Otherwise - give it a quick run to warm the oil, drop it out and do not get burnt removing the plug, change the filters and make sure you put the plug back in before you start to pour in the new oil. Its a truck engine so make sure you have a big enough oil pan to hold the 10 or so litres that will come out.
