SURF INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.

Post by RUMBOZZ »

Hi all, I did a search but with no luck. I was wanting to know if I'm able to put a surf cluster in my hilux ln106? I know it will fit, but will the extra gauges have plugs for them in my harness? I'm guessing not, but any help will be a big help.

I did the same thing to my DX model 4Runner, but a long time ago.
As the surf cluster runs a different wiring card at the back of the cluster I found it easier to use my existing cluster.
I removed the extra two gauges from the surf cluster and screwed them into my original and using the surf's black front with the extra holes cut in.
I then traced out the wires on the back of my cluster to work out if i needed to add any extra wires to make the gauges work. I don't think I did.
And to get the oil pressure gauge to work you will need to change your oil pressure switch on the side of the block.

I just got a 4 runner cluster for my car! It all plugged straight in besides the oilpressure cause mine isn't hooked up other than that it works the same :)
