How long to remove 80 series 1HZ??

Post by JDGQ »

Hey guys, had trouble with the search function so thought i'd try a quick message on here.

Anyone got any idea what the book time to R&R an 80 series engine is?
I've got a friend of a friend who needs a motor replaced and wants a quick quote on doing it.
Any rough ideas on how long i should charge? I was thinking 10 hours to be on the safe side....

Cheers in advance!

Yeah just a straight motor out motor in.
Well that's the plan anyway! Figured with everything easy at hand i should be able to smash it out in a bit over a day.

A good day should sort it. I recently removed my engine/transfer/gearbox including tailshafts in 11 hours by myself as a reference.

If you believed 3 days or whatever he said orginally you need to look in the mirror but anymore than two weeks and he is just messing with you...
I'm not quitting drinking, I'm retiring at the top of my game - sporting comeback likely.
