Hi everyone
I bought a D22 3.2 D navara a few weeks ago, it had a collapsed
Centre bearing when I bought it which I thought was no major issue. What was unusual
Was the previous owner said he replaced it a few months ago.
So after I bought the car I replaced it too and after a week it collapsed again.
The problem seems to be that because the car has had a spring lift, the distance from the centre bearing
To the rear diff has increased and when bolted up it really pulls the bearing about 1/2 backwards toward the diff.
Has anybody else had similar issues?
It's possible that the bearing was installed back to front. I'm not sure which way it goes
I just put it back how it was.
(the curved face points rear and the recessed face points forward)
Could anybody please confirm this is right?
Or else maybe I need a tailshaft spacer?
Thanks, any help greatly appreciated!
Jesse

D22 rear tailshaft/centre bearing issues
Re: D22 rear tailshaft/centre bearing issues
Today I noticed the clamps which hold the
Spring packs together is in front of the diff rather
Than behind like usual, is it possible that
These are back to front and the locating dowell for the diff
Is not in the centre of the spring, causing
It to locate the diff 25mm farther from the centre bearing?
I can't see any front/rear right/left markings on the springs
