Post by Marksurf »

Have just got my self a surf with a pat gardener v6 conversion
Anything to look out for on this like dramas anyone has
Only thing worrying me is the fact that it is running a 2wd Hilux radiator with 1 10inch
Thermo
Any suggestions on others to use haven't been game to go off road with it being so little

Give it a try. If it overheats, get a diesel rad or custom one. Get an eBay 16" thermo and you'll be sweet

I know that the guys running 1uz v8's get by using the standard diesel radiator and some running a single fan (I think 16inch) or el/au twin thermo fans - cheap from a wrecker or ebay

I currently run the stock diesel radiator with a single 16" Davies Craig fan and it only gets warmish around 95 degrees pumping the air con on a 35+ degree day. This is running a 1uz-fe
