Picked up a set of alloy rims yesterday and there seems to be some sort of corrosion that I am having trouble polishing out without damaging the rims.
Anyone got any pointers, Cheers in advance.

Looks like they have a clear coat on them which has started going sh!t. Pretty common with clear coated alloy wheels. I'd never own another set for this reason.

Re: Polishing alloy rims
Reckon its possible to strip them back and re-coat? Plan on painting the spokes white anyway but wanted to leave rest alloy.

Re: Polishing alloy rims
I got a qoute to polish some used alloys I was looking at buying. The qoute was as much as new alloys cost. Powder coating wasnt far behind either.
Re: Polishing alloy rims
Go into bunnings (tool section) & buy the wheel polishing buff set.
Use the course wheel 1st then the loose wheel with some purple metal polish.
Search eBay for the purple polish, it's what us truck drivers use on alloy.(good shit)
