After market Body panels

Has anyone had any experience with after market / non genuine Taiwanese bady panels.

Do they fit properly, are they hard to fit, what are they made of and do they affect your car insurance?

Any advice would be appreciated.

The experience i have had with them, they are cheaper than wreckers guards, fit pretty easy, match the body perfect, needed to drill a hole for something, might have been a relay, cant remember!

Yep they are identical, my be a hole not punched here or there but thats about it!

Same material, same factory!!!

i have had plenty to do with them it depends on the type of car but as the others say sometimes u need to drill a extra hole here or there some times the guard indicator is a good example or a ariel hole , fittment depnds some are shocking some you have no problems with :?:

No they dont effect your car insurance .
Some Insurance companies tell the panel shops to fit non genuine parts! :finger:

The fit is very good these days and once painted looks like original in most cases.
Try blinkers ariels park lights mirrors door handles etc. all before painting.

Hilux, 4Runner parts are all ok.

My truck is made of aftermarket bonnet , 2 guards, Driver's door.

My experience is that they obviously look the same but don't fit the way you want. I had a nightmare putting the door windows in. I had to re-position the quarter window pillar as it was 1/2 inch out. It was also out of shape so I needed to bend it to fit. It was slightly too small as well.
The guards didn't line up & the bonnet was slightly smaller.
That was for an 83 Hilux.

buy the cheap and nasty panels,,,
fit them up on the areas most likely damaged and save you originals for when you want to sell the car/truck..
no questions about fit alignment or quality upon sale then
so basically thats 2 doors and two front guards

They look the same, sh$itloads cheaper than OEM, fit OK after all the're all made from the same recycled beer cans we send to Asia.

Who knows what blend of cheap and nasty metals they make these things from. If they can be made cheaper they'll do it. :lol:
