Ok guys here's the story
1999 jimny with 150,000kms 215/75 tyres 2"inch suspension lift.
When in 2wd. The transfer case makes a whining noise that increases with speed, however in 4wd no noise is there.
Took it to a transmission mechanic and he took it for a drive and said that he would have to take the whole thing apart to see the issue, and that could be 1500+.
Has any one come across this sort of thing?
Is a 2nd hand transfer case from a wrecker a better then option then getting the current one refurbed.
Any other info would be great
Thanks
