Hi, i have just bought a patrol with a tb42 efi gas auto combo with a after market cam. im unsure on a few things and need some info. When stopping the patrol continues to move forward. Doesn't matter how hard i push on the brakes it keeps moving. It idles at about 1200 rpm. Will the cam have anything to do with this? Is a high stall required to over come this or does it just need a tune and the idle bought down or could something else be wrong?

If i put it into neutral it seems to brake/stop fine so i don't think it has anything to do with the brakes.

You have proberly got it worked out now but l
Unless the cam is big you should be able to drop your idle that should help if the cam is quite a big cam with a tight lsa you
Will have lower manifold vacuum at idle making your brake booster less help

Generally the more overlap a cam has the less vacuum at idle, leading to poor brakes at lower revs.
There are hydro boost brake set ups available but they are not cheap.

Speak to a brake shop and get them to test, you could also have a vacuum leak somewhere which won't help.
