Just wondering in your opinions what is the largest tyre size u can go to on a otherwise standard Tb42 petrol swb maverick 1990 model before the engine has to work to hard to spin the larger wheels.?

Depending on who you talk to, some say 33 is about it, others are happy with 35s, others hate 33's...
Have my 35s on Dad's GQ at the moment, standard ratios. It is a little slower off the mark but not bad at all. It does feel slow to me though, compared to mine
My mav has 32s and when I fitted them I could feel the difference, a little bit in acceleration (but possibly this was better balanced/less revvy) but definitely in braking.
However I started with the little 29 inch-ish tyres.
Have 35 on my wagon and it goes like a rocket.IT is on LPG but has extractors. To go up steep hills its 1st low range without any probs.Has no stalling probs either with the larger tyres.I dont ride the clutch either.CHEERS.
