3.0L conversion to 3.5L
I was board in the weekend and started thinkign how much bette the J-Top would be with a 3.5L extra power tourque etc, and was wondering has anybody done this conversion if so what hasseles dod they ahve. I figure i would do the moter and box (manual) at the same time. Then again i could wait another 3 years and get the 4.7 L V8 from the 2+2 mmmmmmm V8
Cut down Sierra cab on extended LWB chasie running, Hilux front and Bundy back, with a 4AGZE should be finished about umm soon. A 60 Series work truck and some go fast toys too.

I went down this trail about 2 years ago. My old 3.0L shorty was due for a rebuild and thought about the 3.5L conversion. It was the price of the engine that scared me most. Traking one down was hard enough but the 5K they wanted for it was a bit much. I opted for a 1500 buck import motor, sold my original donk for 600 and sold the car. Then bought a 3.5L shorty.
I think that sort of $$ would be better spent on a SAS conversion or even a blower on the 3.0L.

OK I promise I will spell check this time before submitting.
I have looked at the Supercharge idea but $6000 + scares me especially when I get no warrantee for the engine. I was thinking about hanging out at the wreaker auctions and getting a whole (ish) car from there then I can take all the bits I need, I dont know its all pipe dreams at the mo
