Have you got a slow leak from the fuel system somewhere ?

If you have a couple of clamps shut of the soft hosing either side of the fuel filter , prime and then see it its leaking from the priming unit itself .

No fuel leaks it's just like it is leaking back to tank over night

I will try the primer tomorrow cheers

No leaks clamped both lines
What would cause it to drain back to tank

Very late I know ;) .

There are two ways for the fuel to return to the tank and empty the pump.
1/ holes or splits in the fuel supply hose.
2/ the none return valve at the primer has had it.

To check 1/ replace your fuel hoses if they are showing signs of age.
To check 2/ put a clear hose between the filter head and the fuel pump. If overnight there's air in the line it's a safe bet that it's at the primer.
