Pajero NW - Volume Adjustment for Indicators

Post by date »

On our new NW Pajero and also our new Outlander, the audible feedback on the indicators is very weak. OK - I am a deaf Old Fart, but seriously, as I exit a roundabout and signal left (as you are required to do), the left movement of the steering wheel is not enough to cancel the signal. Often, I drive along blissfully unaware that the L turn indicator is still going. One day, someone will drive out in front of me, assuming that I am indeed turning left. This is even more likely because I always drive as far left as possible, so it could be assumed that I was intending to turn left when I had no intention of doing so.

The Owner's handbook says that the volume can be adjusted by your local Mits dealer. Well, my local Mits dealer cannot do this. They reckon they can turn the volume down, but WHY? Has any owner of a NS NT or NW had the volume increased? If so, how?
