Hey guys, first post just joined up
Just being looking at the suspension on my 94 hilux and I’m just wondering what that arm is called sitting close to the leaf? Bit of amateur with suspension and haven’t really got my head around it yet : /
Is it the pitman arm? Or...
And also asking what I can do with this? Is this what high steer helps control?
Also in the near future I’m looking at getting better flex due to it being so tight and barely moving, atm it’s just got a 2 inch suspension lift and ironman shocks. Can anyone suggest my best way to do that?
Last thing is anyone running 33’s on their early 90’s hiluxes? And if so did anything need to be moved? I didn’t need to move anything on my 90 model so hopefully it’s the same.
Cheers for the help
josh

Track rod under, 1st motion above
Re: 1994 hilux suspension
The rod running next to the leaf is the drag link. It connects the J arm (bolted to the swivel hub) and the steering box (arm hanging down in the top right of the pic). High steer eliminates this altogether by replacing the back - forward swinging steering box with a left to right swinging box from an IFS Hilux. That's the basics there is a lot more to the high steer - search to see exactly what else.
Plenty of people fit 33's to these Hiluxes. Some move the diff forward by drilling the perches others by hammering the guard or by doing both.
