regearing TJ

Post by HANCOCK »

Hi,
I have a mate with a TJ with 33" tires and front and rear lockers. It’s got shocking gearing at the moment and he wants to increase his tire size soon as well and regearing the diffs seems the best option but his been told that if he wants to get lower gears he will also need new air lockers as well. Is that the case? i see locktup sell gears then thick gears will getting thick gears enable him to use the same lockers?

Thanks Nathan.
