Post by Terry_Toyota »

Well i herd of a guy up north that had a brang new Turbo Diesel Hi-Lux with a snorkle, drove through a river stalled it and started her up agin and keeped going. the next day his car just didn't start and so he tock it to the local work shop and the fuel pump is aparintly stuffed, and he Void his warrnty and now his up for $3000 to get a new pump, and his been stuck there with no car for over a week, i thought diesel were good in water and if they had a snorkle then they would be real good in water? and how come he the warrnty was void? :?

if toyota found out that he went through water any higher than the bottom of the bumper they will not pay - they call it abuse - if toyota's eyes the reason for fitted a snorkel is for getting cleaner air above the dust and not for water crossings.

mat

ps - i got a snorkel, and it is for water crossings.

Yeah I heard somehting like if the water is anywhere above ya hubs ya stuffed on warranty. Funny though because most of the ads that car manufacturers now use show trucks jumping and hammering through water.
