Evening folks.
A few months back I heard that a few Troopys have the passenger seat slide forward and swivel a bit to aid getting in the back. I'm considering fitting one or maybe just the base to my 11 seater 75.
I currently have the rear front-most seats fitted with a cargo barrier and drawers behind that, so getting in via the rear is out of the question. The current seats an older aftermarket seat. Can't remember the name but whilst they're still pretty comfy, they've seen better days. To wind the seat forward it has the wheel which is a pain in the arse so the only real way into the back is climbing over the front seat and centre console. Having a seat that swiveled would be unreal.
So, what models and what years will I find one?
Did any have the second door handle like the early 4runners?
Should I just go all out and get a pair of Stratos' with suspension and lumbar support?
Other ideas?

Re: TroopCarrier swivel seat
In answer to my own question, it seems they're found in all 6 seater RV models. Along with the second door handle. Brilliant.
New problem is, going off the only picture of it in action I could find was on carsales.com and it seems (as I feared) that the swivel action may be hard to achieve without using the full width base frame and the middle seat. I have already modified the frame to just a single seat with a centre console and hence it wouldn't work.
Might be another trip out to the wreckers to have a look around

Dunno about roadworthiness but you could buy the seats you like and then just make your own swivel base, or get an engneering joint to make it for you.
If it's any use a mate mentioned his Mitsubishi Delica has swivel seats, they might be worth looking into ?
