what kind of noise would my engine be making if it was sucking air in through the inlet manifold gasket?
what Kind of noise would my engine me making if it was pushing air through the exaust gasget?
Almost since the new engine went in its been making noises from the engine when its on the juice. today it started to make a similar noise from the exaust. sounded like from the muffler or the cat. but could have been through the whole length of the exaust.
kind of like a kettle boilling.

if it,s a high pitched whistle (type) noise
...good chance its inlet gasket !!
to check , spray some wd40/rp7 around the edges of the manifold & carby mounting gasket !
see if the engine idle changes at all !!
if the exhaust is leaking , look for "soot" deposits around the gasket & also the flange ( just above the CAT) !!
